Electric Airplane Differences Training

Sealand Flight is excited to introduce the Pipistrel Velis Electro, an all-electric aircraft paving the way for sustainable aviation. As the first flight school in Canada to offer electric aircraft training, Sealand Flight provides licensed pilots with the knowledge and skills necessary to fly this state-of-the-art aircraft.

Our Differences Training Course provides licensed pilots (holding RPP, PPL, CPL, or ATPL) with specialized instruction in electric aircraft. You’ll learn the technical and operational differences between traditional and electric-powered airplanes and gain hands-on experience with the Pipistrel Velis Electro.

Ground School

Complete a self-study syllabus followed by an open-book exam to familiarize yourself with the unique characteristics of electric aircraft, including systems, operating conditions, the special certificate of airworthiness, and essential safety protocols.

Flight Instruction

Experience hands-on electric aircraft training under Transport Canada regulations, including dual and solo flights in the Pipistrel Velis Electro. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every aspect of flying this revolutionary aircraft. The differences training is typically completed in a minimum of 3 dual flights and 1 solo flight.
