It’s official! We’ve received all necessary approvals from Transport Canada to begin flight training in our Pipistrel Velis Electro!
On June 14th, we will conduct Canada’s first-ever commercial flight in an electric aircraft. This will mark a new era in Canadian aviation.
We’ll be welcoming a new student for an introductory flight lesson in the Velis Electro and we’re holding a contest for who that will be – it could be you! Applicants must have no previous flight experience and submit a written piece, under 300 words, explaining why they want to learn to fly in an electric airplane. The winner will be chosen and contacted by June 12th. Submissions can be made to info@sealandflight.com . The cost of this flight lesson will be $20 for the selected candidate.
This momentous achievement will be celebrated with members of the media, local politicians, and key stakeholders in the sustainable aviation sector.
